While Reno 911, a TV series, was the first client permitted to shoot film at the Mansion after four years of requests, Newhall Mansion has since been used in many films and TV products, including:

There is more than one SCENE at the NEWHALL MANSION!
The Mansion's Queen Ann elegance and Victorian detailing provides a production crew with a very special atmosphere in 12,000 square feet of indoor shooting. Additionally the Newhall Mansion has just opened up the other 2 homes on the estate for location shoots for many additional and creative scenes on the Newhall Estate. Now, combining with the Newhall Mansion, there are 2 very architecturally distinct homes and historic outbuildings, totally over 15,000 square feet indoors on 10 sprawling acres of native, newly planted, formal and informal landscaping.
The Newhall Mansion is an elegant Queen Anne Style Victorian with:
- A superb historic estate, nestled in the hills of the beautiful Santa Clara River Valley in Ventura County, between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.
- Nine acres of lushly planted grounds, including a three-acre orange grove with income-producing citrus.
- Completely restored in 1981 with copper plumbing and modern conveniences.
- Six bedrooms each with its own very distinctive bath. ( See pictures on this site!)
- Ornate paneling, stained glass, antique chandeliers and 8 fireplaces!
- Over 12,000 square feet on four levels. Top level pre-plumbed for four additional bedrooms.
- Featured in numerous Hollywood films. Site of many romantic weddings and corporate and community vents.
The Stone House: The Warring Stone House. A Historic beauty on .6 acre parcel adjacent to the famous Newhall Mansion. This 3 bedroom and 3.5 bath house is built with exceptional wood and stonework, including a slate roof and slate flooring throughout. Rustic beam ceilings, large French windows, and a large fireplace encase an amazing Great Room, with updated bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen plus formal dining all on one level.
Views of the valley floor can be seen past the manicured landscape and fountain in the front yard, and the large slate patio behind the home is creates another scene opportunity. Built by the Warring Family in the 1930’s who earlier lived in Newhall Mansion.

Newhall Mansion is truly a one of a kind studio for TV, film, commercials and print, not only for the vast indoor and outdoor shots available, but it is also a modern work oriented base ideally situated in the country, yet close to L.A.
Newhall Mansion has been completely updated for efficient use of time to maximize production budgets. A recently completed six year restoration project included the installation of state-of-the-art in heating, plumbing, electrical, and structural and fire safety with built-in security systems, emergency water tanks, stand-pipes with fire hoses and a complete sprinkler system with rooftop rain birds and flow alarms.
The Mansion is located just 15 minutes from Valencia and the Santa Paula airport, 30 minutes from the beach at Ventura, and 40-55 minutes from both the Burbank Airport and LAX (Los Angeles International Airport).
